In Hebrews 11:6, God's Word says:
"But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him." (KJV)
Let's take a look at this phrase because what I am seeing in the church world today is a hesitancy in seeking God. The general thought is, "If God wants to do something, He will do it. God is in control."
Christians are sitting on their hands! They don't want to make a move TOWARD God... they are just waiting for HIM to make a move toward THEM. This is backwards!
So with this phrase in Hebrews 11:6 there is an IF-THEN statement.
God will reward us IF we diligently seek Him. We do something, THEN He does something.
What does the word "diligent" mean?
In the Greek concordance it means:
to seek out, i.e. investigate, scrutinise, search out
to seek out for one's self, beg, crave
to demand
to worship
to enquire
This is not sitting back and waiting on God! This means that we had better muster up some moxie and GO AFTER GOD. Let HIM know that you are making a demand on His anointing. When the woman with the issue of blood heard about Jesus, she gathered up her moxie and went after Jesus, despite the rules of the land that said that she couldn't because of her condition. She pressed through that crowd, touched his garment, and drew the anointing out of Him. Jesus had no clue she was even there until HER FAITH drew from the well of life. As a result of her actions, she was TOTALLY HEALED. You've got to want it (your healing, your deliverance, your peace, etc.) badly enough! Are you going to continue sitting around, twittling your thumbs, hoping and wishing that God is going to help you? Or you going to get up and do what it takes to get God's attention, get into agreement with His Word, and receive the answer to your prayers?? He REWARDS those who DILIGENTLY seek Him... He REWARDS those who DILIGENTLY seek Him... He REWARDS those who DILIGENTLY seek Him... He REWARDS those who DILIGENTLY seek Him... He REWARDS those who DILIGENTLY seek Him...
