The Holy Spirit is the power of God on this earth. He is the power within us. Many have never asked for the Holy Spirit to fill them. We will not have all that we need without the truth and wisdom of the Holy Spirit. When Jesus left this earth, He sent us The Comforter...
Jesus said... “If you love me, you will obey my commandments. I will ask the Father, and he will give you another helper who will be with you forever. That helper is the Spirit of Truth. The world cannot accept him, because it doesn’t see or know him. You know him, because he lives with you and will be in you."
“I have told you this while I’m still with you. However, the helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you everything. He will remind you of everything that I have ever told you." (Scriptures from John 14)
My life took a radical 180 turn in 1995 when I asked for the Holy Spirit to fill me. It was like a veil had been torn into. I could operate in spiritual gifts, pray for people with boldness, and see people healed and set free. The Holy Spirit is not an optional extra. He is the source of everything we need...for ourselves and for ministry to others.
He wants to IMPART to us ALL that we need to function well in life. If we will not partake of Him and what He has to give us, then He cannot impart.
