What does it mean to "speak to your mountains?"
I ran across some Christian naysayers the other day on FB who said that you can't do this!! Uh.. really? Correction.
God said we can!!
“Have faith in God,” Jesus answered. “Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.” Mark11-22-25
Previous to these passages, Jesus had cursed a fig tree and by evening it was withered from the roots. He had SPOKEN to the situation in order to change it. He spoke TO the mountain and it moved .
A mountain can be any kind of obstacle in your life. We can speak to mountains so that the situation changes! Why? Because we are in Christ and Christ is in us and we have His authority here on this earth to move mountains. His supernatural power flows through us, when we are in alignment with Him.
It's a pretty simple concept, but hard for some to grasp. We have to remember that we are seated with Him in heavenly places and therefore we live on a different spiritual plain, even though our feet are grounded on earth.
When my youngest son was little, he had warts on his hand. Nothing we did would budge them. Doctors, medicine. Nada. One day I was driving to the lake and out of the blue, Mark 11 came flooding over me and the Lord reminded me to use His Word to make the mountains move....the mountain of warts!! So I did that, and within a week, those warts were gone and never returned.
And I have spoken to MANY mountains over the years that moved, just like that one. I had an ovarian tumor one time in my late 20's and within one day, that thing was GONE and the surgeon was scratching his head when he came out to talk to me. He said no trace of it ever having been there.... but it was on the scan the day before. \0/
There is POWER in the Word, The Name and the Blood. Christians need to start tapping into His power in order to move the mountains in their lives. He give us His tools to live a victorious life. Start using them!!
