Martha and Mary said...
“If you had been here, my brother would not have died …" ~ John 11
I'm sure Jesus gave her that 'Watch what I am going do to do look.' Jesus then turned His attention away from the women and ordered the stone to be rolled away and spoke LIFE to Lazarus. Four days in the tomb, Martha protested her doubt because Lazarus was now in rot. In Martha's mind, it was too late.
What's more final than death?? Was it really too late? It was in earthly terms. But....with God ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE TO THEM THAT BELIEVE. We know how the story ends. Jesus entered the scene with anointing from Heaven and the supernatural super-ceded the natural. Lazarus lived.
We can apply this scripture scenario in God's Word to many things in our lives. We can speak LIFE or we can agree with death. We can BELIEVE or we can have doubt. We can walk in fear or we can walk in FAITH.
God is looking for those who will be "doers" of the Word and not just hearers only. He is looking for that small posse of people who will not settle for the ways of the world. He is indeed, looking for FAITH that can move mountains...
"...Truly I tell you, if you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” ~ Matthew 17:20
