God's Timing

For the most part, we think of God's timing as something we wait on, after we have petitioned Him in prayer for a need. And yes, true, but can God actually be waiting on us so that "His timing" can come to pass??

Think about that deeply...

There are things that can hinder His timing...

One of biggest things is what we are speaking.

There are 2 scriptures that tie into this and it's vitally important that we understand this.

1. "As surely as I live, declares the Lord, I will do to you just as I have heard you say." ~ Numbers 14:28

2. "Bless the Lord, you his angels, that excel in strength, that do His commandments, hearkening unto the voice of His word." ~ Psalm 103:20

You can tie the hands of God and you can tie the hands of the angels. Not by a rope, but by your WORDS...

If you are praying for healing, God is ready and willing to put things into motion so that your prayers will come to pass. But what are you speaking after you pray?

I have heard many people say:

"Well I prayed but I don't really think He will do anything."

HANDS TIED.

"Aunt Sally died from this and it runs in my family and now I have it."

HANDS TIED.

"I would really like to get out of this financial mess, but we are so broke..."

HANDS TIED

"Well my church doesn't teach that."

HANDS TIED.

"Everytime I pray, nothing happens. "

HANDS TIED

"My situation is hopeless. The doctors have given me no hope."

HANDS TIED

"I am supposed to suffer and God will heal me if He wants to. "

HANDS TIED

Get my point?? Well, sadly most people don't because they are not being taught this VITAL PRINCIPLE in their church. They believe that God just flippantly pics and chooses whom He is going to help.

But you need to get this.

These scriptures really tell the story...

"...For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned." ~ Matthew 12:36

"What you say can preserve life or destroy it; so you must accept the consequences of your words." ~ Proverbs 18:21

The two-edged sword that is spoken of in Hebrews 4:12 is referring to God's Word being one edge, and our words being the other edge. We are in a partnership with God. We need Him and He needs us!! So many times the scriptures tell us, If you do THIS, THEN He will do that. Partnership. We are inextricably linked with our God Who created us.

So just be aware that when you are waiting on God for His timing to kick in, WATCH YOUR WORDS and be thanking Him for what He is doing behind the scenes to put everything in motion. Stay in faith!! He is a kind, loving God, Who wants to give you the desires of your heart...
