Have you ever asked yourself, "Am I worthy?" Maybe you've wondered if you're worthy of love, happiness, success, or even God’s promises. It's easy to feel unworthy, especially when life gets tough or when we compare ourselves to others. But I want to remind you today: You are more than worthy, because of who you are in Christ.
God's Love is Unconditional
First, let’s remember that God’s love is not based on what we do, but on who we are as His children. In Romans 5:8, it says, “But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Think about that for a second. While we were still broken and imperfect, Jesus chose to love us. His love doesn’t wait for us to be perfect; it’s unconditional and eternal.
So, if you're feeling like you're not worthy of love or affection, remember this: God already loves you deeply and completely, exactly as you are. You don’t have to prove your worth to Him—He’s already shown you how much you mean to Him through the sacrifice of His Son, Jesus.
You Are Worthy of His Promises
Maybe you’re struggling to believe that you’re worthy of the good things God promises. We read in 2 Corinthians 1:20, “For no matter how many promises God has made, they are 'Yes' in Christ.” This means that every promise God has for you is a promise made through Jesus, and because you are in Him, those promises are yours!
God has promised peace, joy, healing, provision, and an abundant life. And even when life doesn’t always feel easy, He is still faithful to fulfill His promises. So, you don’t have to earn His promises—Jesus already made a way for you to receive them freely.
Worthiness in Christ
In Ephesians 2:8-9, we are reminded that our salvation is a gift from God, given to us through faith and not by anything we could ever do on our own. This grace that we receive means we can never earn our worth; instead, we are made worthy because of Jesus. When we place our trust in Him, we are covered by His righteousness, which makes us accepted and valuable in God's eyes.
It’s so easy to get caught up in thinking we need to meet some standard to be accepted or loved. But the truth is, we are worthy because of Jesus, not because of our performance. This doesn’t mean that we don’t strive to live good lives and honor God, but it’s important to remember that our worth is not defined by our successes or failures.
You Are His Masterpiece
Ephesians 2:10 beautifully expresses that we are God’s masterpiece, designed by Him with intentionality and purpose. We are not a random occurrence or an afterthought. Instead, we have been specifically created in Christ Jesus to carry out good works that He has already prepared for us.. You have value just because you exist, and that value is rooted in God’s amazing design for your life.
So, if you’ve ever wondered, "Am I worthy?" the answer is yes—because of Christ. You are worthy of love, you are worthy of God's promises, and you are worthy to live a life filled with purpose. Let go of any feelings of inadequacy and step into the beautiful truth of who you are in Jesus. Your worth isn’t based on your past, your failures, or anything you’ve done wrong. It’s rooted in the unchanging love of a God who made you, loves you, and has amazing plans for your life.
Embrace that truth today, and know that you are more than worthy because of who you are in Christ...
