Afflictions are defined (Biblically) as : evil, distress, misery, injury, calamity, worse than, worst (comparison), sad, unhappy. (Sickness is not a part of this definition, interestingly enough.)
Well GUESS WHAT! This scripture is for YOU today!
“Many are the afflictions of the righteous BUT the Lord delivers him out of them ALL.” (Psalm 34:19)
The Message Bible version says this: "Disciples so often get into trouble; still, God is there every time."
