Sometimes it seems as though the world thinks we should have the word "passive" or the word "weak" written on our foreheads. After all, they say, Jesus was all about forgiveness and being kind and gentle.
Yes, He was kind and gentle and all about forgiveness as we read about Him in the Word. And HE IS all of those things NOW, as the Holy Spirit ministers to us on this earth.
BUT... Keep in mind that Jesus was also a POWER HOUSE... He was PROGRESSIVE... He was STRONG and OUTSPOKEN. And it was HIS WAY or the HIGHWAY. Make NO mistake about that.
Jesus cussed out the Pharisees. He called them names! He was righteously angry in the temple when he turned over the tables of the money-changers! He did not tiptoe through the tulips and we need to remember this side of Him.
There are times when we need to be quiet. Yes, of course. And there are times when we need to be outspoken because He put that part of Him inside of us in order to fight against injustice and against the wiles of the devil.
Embrace ALL of Who Jesus was, Who He Is and Is to come! He is our example of how to lead our lives here on earth...
