I was watching an old detective movie the other night and one of the questions asked about the perp was, "What't his M.O.?"  I knew that term stands for "method of operation" from the latin word, "modus operandis".  The connotation associated with this phrase is usually negative, having to do with someone who is being subversive in some way.

Well, I want to give a new acronym for M.O. today and that acronym is Ministry Opportunity.
                  What is your Ministry Opportunity?????

We are called to go out into the world, and that can include our  own homes, our neighbors, our towns, our cities, our country and to the ends of the earth, including the internet! We are the body of Christ and are supposed to be his feet and eyes and arms and legs and voice to the world. There are tons of ministry opportunities around us every single day, and yet so many Christians choose to keep their Christianity to themselves, for their benefit only. I spoke to a lady one time and asked her about her faith and she told me,"That's perssonal...I keep my  Christianity to myself. " And I have seen the lady quite a lot and I can assure you that she is keeping it to herself...she bears no fruit whatsoever and it's very, very sad to see...

 So what are some ministry opps? Well, as examples to share with you, I have ministered to delivery men, clerks in stores, people in Wal-Mart and in malls, doctors and nurses, the homeless on street corners and even members of my own church. Anywhere you see people, you have a ministry opp!! 

One of things I love to do is to leave God's calling card, or His Word, when I minister to a large group of people who would shoot me down with their cursing in a hearbeat . What I do is go into chat rooms all over the internet. I especially like to go into the worst ones you can think one. Here is where we need to reach souls! God told us preach the gospel...to share the good news.  Most of these people have never heard the gospel! They have never been in the Word  and would never step foot in a church.  So what I do is type out a scripture that tells us how to know Jesus and get saved.  I hit "enter" and instantly all of these people in these chat rooms are reading God's Word!!!  Sometimes there are 500 people in that one room! I then send a message that says, "If you want to more about how to go to heaven and avoid hell,send me an IM. "      And believe it or not, I ALWAYS get someone who wants to know more. I can sow seeds into this person's life and often, the people will get saved right there. I always give them an e-mail address if they want to write to me further (start an e-mail account just for this purpose).   Now, you most likely WILL get cussed at and kicked out of that chat room pretty quickly, so your ministry opp needs to be swift.   Remember that we are told in the Word to share the good news. We are not responsible for the people rejecting or accepting. We are only called to tell...  The rest is up to them. I always pray for the spirit of adoption to be loosed to go to  them, so be sure to do this.

One of the ways you can minister to people in stores or on the streets is to  notice which ones seem to have some kind of ailment...they may have a cold, or they may have a limp or perhaps they just look really sad.  You can say to them, " I noticed that you may not be feeling well. I am a minister....can I pray for you?"  Most people will agree and so you can ask them what their relationship is with the Lord. If they are not born again,  you can minister salvation to them and then pray for healing!   It really is not hard to do. You just need to put your fear aside and JUST DO IT!  The Lord will help you, every single time, because the same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead, dwells in YOU!

What is your Ministry Opportuntiy? Ask the Lord today to show you and then pray and believe that the Lord will  use you and also pray that the Lord will give you thick skin because there WILL BE REJECTIONS. I guarantee it. Don't let it stop you, though! Be determined to push through the rejections and move on to someone else who will receive the Word of the Lord.....
