I
am not a violent person. Not at all. In fact, I am a peacekeeper and
strive to do things with love and patience. But.....I've gotta tell
ya...some behavior I have been witnessing from Christians lately makes
me want to use my soccer ball-kicking skills on their backside and
deliver them over the next mountain!
Honestly,
I have seen kinder people in the heathen world than I have seen in
churches. That is so sad for me to say, but so true! Many church
people sit on pews each week and raise their hands in praise and have a
Jesus fish on their cars, but their lives do not reflect Jesus and His
compassion. The fruit is not there. The Bible says that "we will know
them by their fruits." If Christians are not bearing fruit, how will
the world know us? How will the world be influenced and changed and
drawn to the Lord when Christians act like the world? We are to come
out and be separate and that means that our lives must reflect the life
of Jesus Christ.
Jesus
was compassionate. He was loving. He cared. He desired to set us free
from the bondage of satan and his demonic forces. He ministered. He
prayed. He rebuked in love. He gave. He suffered in our place. He
died for us... He was the total package...
Christians,
are you cloning Jesus or are you cloning the world? Are you gossiping?
Are you taking care of your loved ones and your friends when they need
you? Do you have longsuffering with them when they are going through
hard times? Do you care more about your clothes and your "things" and
your church activities than you do about feeding hungry children? Do
you minister Jesus to people wherever you go? Are you following Mark
16:15-18? If you are not, then don't call yourself a believer. Jesus
gave us a very good definition in these passages....
We
are to examine ourselves daily, so I admonish you to examine yourself
today and I will do the same for myself. Are you obeying the Word or
are you being seduced by the world, which has satan as its God....
Let's come out from among them and show the world that we have Jesus living inside of us...
