Dangerous to the Devil

God's Healing Power Radio Ministry

I have many friends all around the country who are in the ministry in some form of service. They all have various giftings and are a blessing  to whom they minister. One friend of mine has the gift of "discerning of spirits" (see 1 Cor.12). Now,  I have that gifting as well, but not to the deeper degree that she does. I have not actually seen angels or demon spirits, but she has. I have sensed their presence and have seen them in dreams in visions, but not with my own eyes.  Frankly, I can't say that I would want this aspect of the gift! I think it would probably freak me out and I couldn't handle it. God knows this, of course,  and that's why He hasn't allowed me to get a glimpse of the spirit world in this way!

My friend has gone into insane wards to minister and she could see the demon spirits as doorkeepers and she could see the demons attached to most of these poor souls in the wards. When she walked into the building, all of the demons parted to let her through. They were all quivering because they knew the power and glory that she carried within her, as a child of the Most High God. They knew the authority that she possessed and had to bow to every command that was uttered from her lips.  This woman was dangerous to the demon world...

In Acts 16:16, Paul cast a demon spirit out of a girl who was practicing sorcery and making money for her master. No doubt that the master was angered beyond belief for what Paul did! Paul was dangerous

"And it came to pass, as we went to prayer, a certain damsel possessed with a spirit of divination met us, which brought her masters much gain by soothsaying: The same followed Paul and us and cried, saying, These men are the servants of the most high God, which shew unto us the way of salvation. And this did she many days. But Paul, being grieved, turned and said to the spirit, I command thee in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her. And he came out the same hour." Acts 16:16-18.

Christianity isn't for the faint or weak of heart. It isn't for quitters or whiners. It isn't for the fearful.  IT IS for those who have a deep desire to please God and radically obey His Word. So many Christians today are just squeaking by, hoping they will not have to do too much for God and still be able to make it to heaven.  They don't want to "stir up" satan, as one person told me recently. These Christians obviously do not know the authority that God has given to them and if they did, I doubt if they would be very eager to use it...

In Ephesians 6:12, the Word tells us that we are battling four different levels of demonic spirits.    "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world-rulers of this darkness, against the spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places."

Yes, we are battling demonic forces in this life whether some choose to believe it or not. The Word is very clear on this. Most Christians are hiding their heads in the sand from this truth and hope that "God will do something", just in case it may be true...

But..... God gave US the authority over satan and his cohorts and He expects us to use it...   Luke 10:19 - "Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you."

So I ask you today...are YOU dangerous to the spirits of darkness? Are you using the authority that Christ died to give you? Or are you hiding from the truth?

Examine yourself today.....
